Daycare for Dogs: More Than Just Exercise

Like most pet owners, there have probably been certain occasions where you’ve thought to yourself that your dog could use a friend. Maybe your apartment has a one pet limit, you may have a demanding job, or just need a break from the responsibility of getting your pet out to play. The good news is, you can bring your best friend to dog daycare at BNB and take a rest without feeling guilty. What’s so special about our daycare? Why not just bring your dog to a public park? Well, you’d be surprised at the endless range of benefits that a supervised daycare will provide for you and your pet!

Unlike a dog park, our dog daycare service is facilitated by professional counselors who recognize animal behavior, knows how and when to give commands, and how to eliminate the possibility of a fight before it occurs. To ensure the safety of all pets, Beds-N-Biscuits require that all dogs be spayed or neutered, and up-to-date on vaccinations such as distemper and rabies. Public parks can be wild and chaotic, with no clear leadership or rules to follow. By interacting with a trained staff member, your dog will be able to partake in a fun and personal lesson on manners with humans and other canines. For an extra fee, we offer baths, which is extremely convenient if you don’t have the equipment or time to bathe your pet from home.

The best part is that anyone can play! It doesn’t matter if your pup is big, small, old or young, there is plenty of space for canines of all shapes and sizes. Dogs are separated by size and temperament to give them the best choice of playmates. If you have a smaller or elderly dog who prefers a calmer, less rambunctious environments, they can be placed with other pets of similar personalities. If you have a young and energetic Golden Retriever, he or she will be placed with other dogs who are friendly, active, and love to run. Some dogs prefer to play solo, and there’s an option for that too. Remember, a tired dog is a happy dog!

If you’re still not convinced, consider how hard you work to provide a home for your pet. You can work a long day guilt-free, you won’t have to worry about how they’re doing, if they’re lonely, if they’re using the bathroom on the carpet, or if your couch is being destroyed due to the anxiety of being alone for long periods of time. We all have our rough days when we get home, and we’re too tired to go for a walk or endure an hour long game of fetch. Daycare will reduce that stress for you, so you and your dog can just relax together after a long day. You both deserve an extra pair of hands! After a few weeks, you’ll see a happier, healthier, more sociable, and more well-behaved pup!
